Z hostelu wygrzebaliśmy się dopiero w południe. Pojechaliśmy S-bahnem na Alexander Platz. Kupiliśmy całodobowy bilet na metro (tageskarte 6,10 euro), więc mogliśmy sobie jeździć. Pierwsze co zrobiliśmy, to poszliśmy do chińskiego baru zjeść śniadanie. To najtańsze, co się tu da zjeść, makaron z warzywami, nawet całkiem dobry.
Żeby wjechać na Fernsehenturm, trzeba czekać dwie godziny. My nie mamy tyle czasu, więc sobie odpuszczamy, wież, na które można się tu wdrapać nie brakuje. Przed nami Rotes Rathaus, a niedaleko fontanna z Neptunem. Naptun groźnie spogląda na dzieci szalejące w wodzie ;) Kawałek dalej stoją sobie Marx i Engels. Śmiesznie mieć z nimi fotkę, choć uczucia mam mieszane, bo i oni nieźle namieszali...

We go out from the hostel barely at noon. We take S-bahn to Alexander Platz. We buy a 24 hours ticket for metro (tageskarte 6,10 euro), so we can go and go. The first thing we do is going to a chinese bar to have a breakfast. It's the cheapest thing to eat here, noodles with vegetable, quite good.
There's a two hours queue to go up to Fernsehenturm. We haven't so much time so we let it go, there are many towers to go up around. There is Rotes Rathaus in front of us and a fountain with Neptune nearby. Neptune looks threateningly at the kids playing in the water ;) And a little bit farther there are Marks and Engels. It's funny to have a photo with them, although I have mixed feelings, they meddled in the history a lot...

Wchodzimy do Deutche Dom (bilety 5 euro / 3 studencki). Piękną ma kopułę, światło wpada bokiem i pięknie ją rozświetla. Gdzieś w kącie nagrobki królów.
Ale my idziemy na górę, do kopuły. Z góry można obejrzeć panoramę Berlina. Widać Fernsehenturm, Reichstag, ratusz, muzea, rzekę pod nami. Idzie akurat jakaś parada. A przy muzeach na trawce odpoczywa wielu ludzi, bo dzień całkiem ciepły się zrobił. Wygląda to z góry, jakby leżeli na wielkim zielonym dywanie.

We go to the Deutche Dom (tickets 5 euro / 3 for students). It has a beautiful dome, the light comes from a side and lights it up. There are thombs of kings hidden at the back.
But we go up, to the dome. It's possible to see a Berlin panorama from up there. I can see Fernsehenturm, Reichstag, the City Hall, museums and the river below us. There's a parade. And there are many people on the grass in front of the museums, the day is quite warm now. From here it looks like they layed on a big green carpet.

Popołudnie się już zrobiło dość późne, a my mamy w planie jeszcze Pergamon, to główny punkt programu (bilety 10 euro / 5 studencki). Do wejścia kolejka, plecak trzeba zostawić w szafce, na szczęście w środku można robić zdjęcia :)
Ja wiedziałam, że jak tam wejdę, to nie będę chciała wychodzić! Wiedziałam, że to muzeum na cały dzień. Czego tam nie ma! Poczynając od bramy Isztar, która jako chyba jedyna ze starożytnych rzeczy jest kolorowa. Pewnie dlatego tak mi się podoba. Na bramie lwy i inne różne fantastyczne stworzenia. No, na pewno warto to zobaczyć.

It's afternoon and we have a plan to see Pergamon, it's a main thing for today (tickets 10 euro / 5 for students). There's a queue to go in, I must leave my backpack in a box, luckily it's possible to make photos inside :)
I knew that if I come here I wouldn't wanna go out! I knew it was a museum for the whole day. There are so many things! Starting with Ishtar Gate, which is colourful like nothing else from ancient times. And probably that's the reason I like it so much. There are lions and other fantastic creatues on it. It's worth to see.

Są tu rzeczy sprzed kilku tysięcy lat, strażnicy przeróżnych bram i świątyń, postacie wyryte w kamieniu, greccy filozofowie i boginie, niesamowicie jest mieć to wszystko na wyciągnięcie ręki! Dotknąć tych kamieni, które tyle już widziały i które pewnie wciąż będą trwać, gdy nas już dawno nie będzie...
Ale i tak najbardziej spodobało mi się stareńkie astrolabium :)
I tylko jedna myśl nie dawała mi spokoju... że przecież nie tutaj te wszystkie rzeczy powinny być... Choć kto wie, może gdyby nie było ich tutaj, nie byłoby ich wcale? Hmmm...

There are things from before thousands years, guards of gates and temmples, figures cut in stone, Greek philosophers and gosesses, it's amazing to have all this so close! To touch those stones which have seen so much and which would still be when we would be only a memory...
But anyway I like an old astrolabium the most :)
And only one thing comes all the time to my mind... it's not the place where all those things shoul be... Well, who knows, maybe if they were not here, they would be nowhere? Hmmm...

Poszliśmy Unter Den Linden. Faktycznie rosną tu lipy, choć już przekwitły i nie pachniały. Mijamy wiele wielkich sklepów, łącznie z salonem Ferrari, rosyjską ambasadę, przy której rzuca się w oczy wielkie biuro Aerofłotu. Jest i muzeum figur woskowych.
I wreszcie Brandenburger Tor. Przysiadamy na chwilę zmęczeni, obok nas jacyś kłócący się Polacy... Byłam tu już kiedyś, na Love Parade, wtedy były tu tłumy, teraz toczy się normalne życie. Stoją dorożki, państwo młodzi robią sobie zdjęcia, uliczni artyści przygotowują się do występów.
Za bramą z daleka widać Reichstag. Nie idziemy już tam, bo późno się robi, a tam na pewno kolejka. Cóż, Berlin może najpiękniejszym miastem nie jest, ale na pewno można tu z tydzień przesiedzieć ciekawie spędzając czas.

We walk Unter Den Linden. There are lime trees in fact although they lost blossom and smell already. We pass by many huge shops, a Ferrari salon, the russian embassy with a great Aerofłot office. And there's a Wax Figures Museum.
And here is the Brandenburger Tor. We sit down for a while, tired, we can see argueing Polish people nearby... I was here once, to take part in Love Parade. There was crowd, now a normal life. There are cabs, newly-weds make photos, street artists prepare for the show.
We can see the Reichstag behind the gate. We don't go there, it's getting late and there's a queue for sure. Well, maybe Berlin isn't the most beautiful town, but I'm sure it's possible to spend here a week not being bored.

Idziemy jeszcze na Potsdamer Platz, żeby zobaczyć kawałek muru. Stoją sobie takie posprejowane kawałki, oblepione gumami do żucia. Są też tablice z napisami, których nie miałam już siły czytać. Nad placem górują trzy wielkie oszklone budynki, ale jakoś nie udało mi się ich ładnie sfotografować.
Czas już jechać, bo późno, na Friedrichstrasse przesiadka i kolejne chińskie jedzenie, trzeba się posilić, bo długa droga nas czeka.
Zabieramy auto z hostelu i wyjeżdżamy na autobahn, tym razem już bez przygód ;)
Pędzimy na południe, drogi piękne i ogromne, więc kilometry szybko uciekają. Jedziemy ile się da, miast żadnych nie ma czasu zwiedzać, choć by się chciało. Pociesza mnie myśl, że przed nami jeszcze tyle pięknych miejsc, że nie warto zatrzymywać się tutaj.
Śpimy w aucie przy Aralu. Kibelki są płatne i nie za czyste, co mnie dziwi. W nocy padało, ale tak byłam zaspana, że nic nie słyszałam.

We walk to Potsdamer Platz to see a piece of the wall. There are painted with spray pieces, cevered with chewing gum. There are also tables with the history written but I have no power to read them. There are three buildings made of glass but I haven't an idea to make a good photo.
It's time to go because it's late already. We change trains at Friedrichstrasse and have another chinese food, I must eat something, we have a long way to drive.
We take the car from the hostel and we go to autobahn, this time without any adventures ;)
We drive south, the roads are huge and nice so the kilometers run away quickly. We drive as far as possible, we have no time to see any towns, although I'd like to. But I tell myself that there are so many beautiful places ahead that it's not worth to stop here.
We sleep in the car near Aral tank station. The toilets are not too clean and we must pay for them. I'm surprised. It was raining in the night but I was so sleepy that I haven't heard anything.
