Niecałe trzy godziny i już Tbilisi. Miasto świeci w dole tysiącami migoczących światełek - wygląda to niesamowicie pięknie! Faktycznie - jakby gwiazdy schodziły tu spać. Niestety na górze szaleje wiatr, turbulencje są spore, a uczucie jednak całkiem inne niż w Antku. Nie żebym się bała ;) Lęk jest raczej intuicyjny, bo rozum wie, że to normalne, tyle że po prostu nieprzyjemne.
Od razu wymieniamy trochę euro w kantorze. Kurs nie taki zły, nieco tylko gorszy niż w mieście. Jeszcze kontrola paszportów i już jesteśmy w Gruzji! :-D
Na lotnisku wita nas Koka. Zabiera nas i jeszcze dwóch ziomków, po których nikt nie przyjechał od Iriny - to już drugi taki przypadek, o którym słyszę w tym roku... Jedziemy czerwonym Civiciem, o jakim niegdyś marzyłam ;) Koka obwozi nas trochę po centrum, pokazuje Plac Wolności z ogromną kolumną i informacją turystyczną. I fajnie, bo potem okazało się, że nie mieliśmy już w ogóle czasu tu wrócić.
Less than three hours and it's Tbilisi. The town down there is lit with thousands of glittering lights - it looks incredibly beautiful! In fact it looks like the stars would come down to sleep here. Unfortunatelly up here the wind blows, there is quite strong turbulence and the feeling is quite different then in Antonov. Not that I'm affraid ;) It's more intuitive fear, my mind knows that it's normal, just unpleasant.
We change some euro in an exchange office at the airport. The rate is not so bad, just a bit worse then in the city. They check our passports and we're in Georgia! :-D
Koka is waiting for us. He takes us and another two guys who were supposed to be taken by Irina, but noone has come - it's a second time that I can hear it this year... We drive a red Civic, I used to dream about this car before ;) Koka drives a bit around the center, he shows us the Freedom Square with a great column and the touristic information. It's fine, we didn't have time to come back here later.

Koka zawozi nas do hostelu. W planach mamy nie spać - szkoda na to czasu, skoro tylko marny tydzień tu będziemy. Chcemy od razu wyruszyć na zwiedzanie miasta. I dziś jeszcze o jakiejś sensownej godzinie wyruszyć do Kazbegi. Nie jest to jednak takie proste, na początek od razu dostajemy wina i czaczy ;) Nie można się nagadać, choć jest środek nocy.
W końcu jednak wychodzimy z hostelu, jest wpół szóstej rano - w sam raz czas na poranny spacer ;) Koka mówi, że jest bezpiecznie, nie ma się czego bać. I faktycznie, kilka razy spotykamy ten sam radiowóz, który krąży po ulicy.
Mijamy kościół Św. Nikołaja. Po drodze z jednego z mostów mamy piękny widok na miasto i rzekę. Postanawiamy dotrzeć do Cmida Sameba - największego (ponoć nawet na całym Kaukazie) i pięknie teraz oświetlonego kościoła.
Koka takes us to the hostel. Our plan is not to sleep - we don't wanna loose time if we're here for only one week. We wanna go to explore the town. And today at a reasonable hour go to Kazbegi. Well, it's not so easy, we get some wine and chacha at the beginning ;) We can't stop chating although it's the middle of the night.
Finally we go out from the hostel, it's five thirty in the morning - just the right time for a morning walk ;) Koka says that it's safe here, there's nothing to be affraid of. And in fact, we meet the same police car a few times.
We pass bye St. Nicolas church. On the way there's an excellent view over the city and the river from a bridge. We decide to go to Cmida Sameba - the biggest (they even say the biggest at the whole Kaukaz) and beautifuly lit now church.

Miasto o tej porze jest przepiękne! Na ulicach prawie pusto. Spotykamy tylko kilku ludzi sprzątających ulice, jakieś babcie siedzące w ciemnym zaułku, przebierające koper.
Mijamy śliczne kamienice. Domki są naprawdę piękne, gdy kiedyś będzie to wszystko wyremontowane i odnowione, to będą jedne z najpiękniejszych kamieniczek, jakie widziałam w życiu. Ale takie stare i nieco się sypiące też mają swój niewątpliwy urok. Zaglądamy na ciemne podwórka. I idziemy po prostu przed siebie, w górę i w dół, gdzie oczy poniosą, nie spiesząc się i starając się dotrzeć do Cmida Sameba. To chyba najlepszy sposób na zwiedzanie miasta - po prostu zagubić się w uliczkach.
Wspinamy się na wzgórze z kościołem - piękny to spacer. Nie mogę się napatrzyć na te stare domki!
The town is beautiful at this hour! The streets are almost empty. We meet only a few cleaning streets people, grandmummies sitting in a dark corner, sorting out fennel.
We pass by beautiful tenements. The houses are really nice, when they renovate them, those would be one of the most beautiful houses I ever saw. But also so old and a bit ruined (although it's too strong word) they are still with a special atmosphere. We look into dark corners. And we just keep going ahead, up and down, where our eyes tell us to go, without hurring up and trying to get to Cmida Sameba. I think it's the best way to sightsee the town - just to get lost in the streets.
We climb to the hill with the church - it's a very nice walk. I don't have enough of looking at the houses!
Mijamy śliczne kamienice. Domki są naprawdę piękne, gdy kiedyś będzie to wszystko wyremontowane i odnowione, to będą jedne z najpiękniejszych kamieniczek, jakie widziałam w życiu. Ale takie stare i nieco się sypiące też mają swój niewątpliwy urok. Zaglądamy na ciemne podwórka. I idziemy po prostu przed siebie, w górę i w dół, gdzie oczy poniosą, nie spiesząc się i starając się dotrzeć do Cmida Sameba. To chyba najlepszy sposób na zwiedzanie miasta - po prostu zagubić się w uliczkach.
Wspinamy się na wzgórze z kościołem - piękny to spacer. Nie mogę się napatrzyć na te stare domki!

W końcu jest Cmida Sameba. Z bliska robi spore wrażenie, bo naprawdę jest ogromny i stoi na jeszcze większym dziedzińcu. Pora jest idealna, atmosfera niesamowita, świta już powoli, niebo robi się granatowe, pieją koguty, wokół wieży kościoła krążą ptaki. Obok stawek z kaczuszkami, pstrykam i pstrykam zdjęcia i dobrze, bo gdy robi się jaśniej, oświetlenie zostaje wyłączone!
Wnętrze nie zrobiło na mnie jakiegoś super wrażenia - to zwyczajna cerkiew. Jest kilka srebrnych ikon, jakaś stara księga. W bocznej kapliczce trwa akurat nabożeństwo.
Jest okropnie zimno, zastanawiamy się, czy na pewno jechać dziś do Kazbegi, bo szczyty okolicznych gór toną w chmurach.
And here is Cmida Sameba. When we're so close the church impresses a lot, it's really big and stands on a big churchyard. The time is perfect, incredible atmosphere, I make photos. Great that I do, 'cause when it gets less dark, the light turns off!
The interior isn't too impressive - it's just an orthodox church. There are a few silver icons, an old book. In a small chapel there's a service.
It's terribly cold, we're not sure if we wanna go to Kazbegi today, the tops of the nearby mountains are covered with clouds.
Wnętrze nie zrobiło na mnie jakiegoś super wrażenia - to zwyczajna cerkiew. Jest kilka srebrnych ikon, jakaś stara księga. W bocznej kapliczce trwa akurat nabożeństwo.
Jest okropnie zimno, zastanawiamy się, czy na pewno jechać dziś do Kazbegi, bo szczyty okolicznych gór toną w chmurach.

Schodzimy w dół, obok chyba pałacu prezydenckiego, przy którym pełno jest strażników. Grzeczna jestem i nie robię zdjęć, ale nawet w pobliskiej ślicznej uliczce zwracają mi uwagę, że i tu nie można - pełno ich stoi w bramach, jeden idzie nawet za nami dopóki nie schodzimy całkiem na dół. Hmm, któż tam mieszka, że nie można fotografować?
Przechodzimy na drugą stronę rzeki, kierujemy się teraz ku restauracji, którą polecił nam Koka. Mijamy bardzo charakterystyczny szklany most dla pieszych. Ciekawie to wygląda, trzeba przyznać. Z nadrzecznej promenady widać kościółek wzniesiony na skale i pomnik dawnego króla Gorgosała.
