Wyszłam dopiero o dziesiątej. Na szczęście pogoda dziś już ok. Pojechałam tramwajem, bo zależało mi na czasie. Poszłam zobaczyć panoramę do biblioteki publicznej
I went out at ten. Luckily the weather is ok today. I take the tram, I just need time. I wanna see the panorama from the public library It's not very good, it's covered by the roof and the building itself, but it's worth to see it anyway :)

Luckily not far from here there is also a terrace on the roof of the The lift nor the closer stair don't work, it's needed to take the longer way and the steps. But the view is great. Down there there are ships that retired. Actually it's even possible to get on boards, but I didn't have enough time to do it, 'cause a little bit farther the Maritime Museum is waiting.

The Maritime Museum is great. (15€, free with Museumkaart). I wanted to see it very much and I didn't regret.
First I go to see the paintings collection. Ah, so many sailing ships in one place! I love paintings with sailing ships and here there are so many! Beautiful! I would be able to spend half a day only here!

the port in Amsterdam - see how many ships!
W następnej sali kolejna gratka – przyrządy nawigacyjne. Wow! Ekspozycja zrobiona rewelacyjnie!
In the next room there's another find - navigational instruments. Wow! The exhibition is made fantastic! I like it very much, including the book inside which there is beeing written a story of one expedition when you open it (well, it's a shame it's not in english). On interactive displays you can read how those navigational instruments work.

There's also a fine room with photos. But if you think there are just photos, you're wrong. You can sit down in a comfortable armchair and see the albums or watch and listen to the presentations screened on the walls.

On another floor there are yacht models. There are many sailing ships and they aren't small. They're great.

In the next room next wow... old geographical atlases and maps (some of them even from the fifteenth century!), something that I also like seeing. To see how the world used to 'look'. To see the white spots where my home now is... Very strange and fascinating.

Zdobione części statków czekają w kolejnej sali. Szczególnie galiony zgromadzone jeden obok drugiego robią niesamowite wrażenie!
The ship decorations are waiting in another room. Especially bow figureheads one near another make an incredible impression!

A szafek mnóstwo.
At the end (of this part of the museum) there's also a glass, silver and porcelain exibition - gifts for naval heroes, regents and merchants. Well, I have mixed feelings about it. The exhibits themselves are great, but almost each of them is hidden in a wall cupboard which must be opened and held to see what's inside. And there are so many of them. And frankly saying I was too lazy to look to each of them. I would rather it to be exhibited in a normal way.
By the molo there's an eighteenth century ship named Amsterdam replica. You can get inside, to scour the decks and under them, to look into a captain's cabin and to the kitchan. There are even toilettes ;) And you can even 'fire' from a cannon ;)

I tu też uczucia mieszane. No ale robiło wrażenie.
At the end I go to see the virtual Voyage at Sea. It's a 3D multimedial presentation, or however to call it. And here also my feelings are mixed. I've never seen such a thing before, so it's interesting, but I'm not sure if I would go again. The best was the room with a film at 360 degrees around. Well, it's not a film actually, there are different pieces get into one, they don't fit very much, only the main subject is the same. But it impresses anyway.
Other rooms are also interesting, but not much sense in all that for me. Those presentations have something in common with the 'people' from the museum, but I haven't seen all the exhibitions so maybe I haven't seen what I should have to enjoy more.
And at the end there's a funny surprice. I'm not gonna let you know what it is, go and see yourself ;)

W sumie byłam w muzeum trzy godziny. A można tu spędzić cały dzień spokojnie.
I don't go to see the rest of the exhibitions, 'cause the time is running. I have no chance to go to Rijksmuseum anyway.
I spent three hours in the museum. And you can be here the whole day, too.
It's a shame that it's not possible to see the roof in the evening. With colourful lights it must look great.
