No i wybudował browar.
We go to see Hofbräuhaus – one of the famous beer halls. It all started from duke Wilhelm V who wanted to have his own beer instead of importing it from Saxony. And he built a brewery. The building is great, it has a few rooms with painted roofs, a green yard, an orchestra, on the second floor a big room with long tables. Today one can not only drink beer here but also eat. Although it’s hard to get a seat here, there is din and many tourists unfortunatelly, the place impresses, it has it’s own atmosphere for sure.

Naprzeciwko Hard Rock Cafe, zaglądamy do środka na moment.
Mam okazję spróbować precelka, jest chrupiący i pyszny, lepszy niż bułeczka, mniam!
Wracamy na Marienplatz. To chyba najbardziej znane i turystyczne miejsce w Monachium.
Opposite the Hofbräuhaus is the Hard Rock Cafe, we take a look for a while.
I have an opportunity to try a pretzel, it’s crusty and delicious, better then the roll, yum!
We go back to Marienplatz. I think it’s the most known and toutistic place in München.
There is a XIVth century Old Town Hall, smaller but I think more intimate and charming and a great New Town Hall. The second one was built in XVIII and XIX century, when in the old one there wasn’t enough place. Today it’s home to the city government and others.
But the most interesting thing is up there – 85 meters high tower which can be reached with first lift and then stairs (2,50€). It still blows a bit but the sun has just come out from behind the clouds, so the views are excellent! I cannot see the Alpes but the views over the town fully compensate that, actually while I was there I completelyu forgot about them ;) I can see the Old Town Hall, Frauenkirche, Altes Peter, stadium, Olympic Tower, towers and domes of churches, great!

A i stąd widok wynagradza wszelkie niedogodności.
And I'm very surprised that I can see people on the Alter Peter tower! So it's possible!
The question is to go there or not, well, for me the answer is obvious! There’s no lift here, we must take very narrow stairs to go up there (2€). At the beginning so narrow that it’s not possible for two people to walk there opposite ways and sometimes people must come back to let go others. When it’s higher it’s less narrow but still only one direction is in use one time. I am surprised how the stairs withstand stamping so many hundreds of feet in one time? ;) There are so so many people ;) I don’t like crowds normally but here it makes me feel fun.
Up there on the terrase is also very narrow, it’s also hard for two people to walk opposite. But this place was made for one bugler and not so many people. Unfortunatelly I must wait in a queue to make a few photos of the New Town Hall – well, actually to pursue the right view hard. Hmm, I don’t like it anymore but I prefer the view in such conditions then none. And the view is also great! The sun still shines so I have a smile on my face till the evening.

view from Alter Peter - the New Town Hall
Jakie to koszta!
I changed Residenz to the tower, so the Residenz must be left for the next time. Well, it’s not possible to see everything during one day.
It’s time to eat something finally. Seba takes us to Theresienwiese. There is Octoberfest. It’s still three months to that fest and they mount the halls already. What is the reason that they do it every year from the beginning? Iwona says that many different events take place here every year, but cannot they be in those halls? They pay so many for it! Seba says that 1/3 of the town’s year income is from Octoberfest.
The smaller restaurant is closed, so we go to the bigger one. The restaurant is big and it has it’s own brewery and one can eat here traditional bavarian food. The waiter isn’t nice, but the food is quite good, although rather quickly served.
After the dinner we walk a bit around the nearby area. It’s very nice here, many old, big maintained villas, green, clean, quiet. Great, I think everyone dreams to be able to live here. Well, but not many people can afford it I think.

Następny przystanek to Englischer Garten. Można iść i iść albo biec i biec.
My idziemy szukać... surferów.
The next stop is the Englischer Garten. We pass the Chinese Tower, there’s a quite big beer garden. Now it’s quite empty, ‘cause it starts raining again. Nearby there’s a nice manor house. The park is big, like Vondelpark in Amsterdam. One can walk and walk or run and run.
We go to look for... surfers. There’s a place near a small bridge where a small river flowing out from under it is quite strong piled-up, there are quite big waves and surfers use them. They aren’t affraid of rain, they are wet anyway ;) And the river isn’t easy, almost none of them can surf for more then half a minute. I admire their skills, they must be big.
The time is running fast, it’s time to go back home. I wanted to see a few more places, a bridge with a lot of trains for example and a few museums. Hmm, there are more and more places I would like to visit again...
