nocny koniec podróży / night end of the journey
Polska - Poznań
4.10.2010
5 884 km
It doesn't take a long time to get to the border with Serbia. We must wait but it goes fast, luckily they don't want us to unpack the car although it's full.
We pass by the mountains and get to the highway near the town Niš, I call it Bear (in Polish it's Miś) ;)
We sleep at a tank station almost untill the morning, we were very sleepy.
We pass by Belgrade at dawn. It's six a.m. sunday morning so it's pointless to look for shops. I just go to a few tank stations, I'm looking for fićas, but there aren't any. I ask one man at one tank station, I guess he understands that I wanna buy a whole car and he laughs at me and I'm so sleepy that I don't feel like telling him again that I just want a model ;)

This time we enter Hungary during a day. And now I can see how they take care about highways, the grass is cut, there are colourful bushes aside. It's only a pity that we can't see any towns, they are so far from the highway. I was driving so many times here and besides Budapest and Balaton I haven't seen anything.
And there's a ring around Budapest. It wasn't here last year. We used to drive through the center and even buses lost their ways there. Now everything is clear, but take care that at the ring there are no tank stations! And we need one already... Luckily there is one when we enter the mountains.

We drive so slowly in Slovakia, there are police cars everywhere. There are many buses with polish numbers. Where do those people go? ;)
I buy two packets of Lentilky. People bring beer from Slovakia and I bring Lentilky ;) I have only forgotten that they have euro already and I've been surprised how cheap it's here ;)
It's beautiful in the mountains, autumn colours, the views are great.
We stop for a while in Donovaly. When we were driving here in winter there was a lot of snow and many skiers. Now it's green but very cold, I don't even feel like taking a walk. I can see paragliders up there.
On east there are tops of Tatra Mountains covered with snow - the view is fantastic!
It's not possible to drive ahead passing the polish border, the road turnes, because there are boxes with exchange and vignettes which must be bypassed. I'm so ashamed for the Polish, it looks exactly the same at the german border...

We Wrocławiu też trochę zamotane, drogowskazy kierują raz w prawo raz w lewo.
No i za krótko...
We stop for a while in Spytkowice in Rusnakowka Inn to have some dumplings (one portion costs 10 - 12 PLN). We must rest anyway and by the way we can also eat something :) Yummy!
There are queues at Zakopianka Road. It's sunday evening, the weather was nice so everyone is comming back to the city.
We were supposed to reach the highway to Katowice in Cracow. Unfortunatelly... there are detours, first there's a signpost but crossed out, then we can see a table which says to go to Katowice take a road to Rzeszów... Maybe we are tired but we haven't seen any turn after that... and we have driven till the end to that road because it wasn't possible to turn back either ;)
I hate this polish not even mess but complete bustle, aaaa, I'm in this country only for two hours and I have enough...
In Wroclaw there's also mess, the signposts show to go once left then right. We miss the road also this time ;) But thanks to that we sightsee the town a little bit. There is even a moment that we are close to the Old Market :) The dwarfs are sleeping I guess, I can't see any ;)
Poznań, five a.m., the end of the journey.
The holiday was great but I still haven't enough. Not enough of Bulgaria, there are still so many interesting places to see! Not enough of warmth. Not enough of peaches. Well I could try figs, but I don't have enough of them either ;)
And it was too short...
