Najbardziej podoba mi się biblioteka, ma klimat taki, jak lubię. Pozostałe pokoje, czerwony i niebieski też są całkiem ładne, z ciekawymi obrazami na ścianach. Oprócz tego jest jeszcze pokój chiński, który służył paniom do spotkań przy herbacie. Co ciekawe, w dawnych czasach kobietom nie pozwalano pić kawy, którą uważało się za zbyt dla nich stymulującą ;) Tylko panowie mogli się cieszyć jej smakiem.

I like the bibliotheque the most, it has a unique atmosphere, a kind that I like very much. The two other rooms, red one and blue one are also nice, with interesting paintings on the walls. There's also a chinese room, which was used by ladies to meet drinking tea. It's interesting that women were not alowed to drink coffee, they said it was too stimulating ;) Only men were alowed to enjoy it's taste.

W muzeum odbywają się też koncerty, więc warto sprawdzić agendę – ulubione słowo Holendrów ;)
Ogród jest tak cudny, spokojny i pachnący, że chciałoby się usiąść w nim na dłużej na słonku, ale ja chcę jeszcze zobaczyć kolejny domek tuż naprzeciwko – Ten już można zwiedzać cały, od kuchni na samym dole po sypialnie na samej górze. I znów bardzo mi się tu podoba, wyposażenie, architektura i ogród, hmm, jakbym się miała czepiać, to chyba tylko tarasu brak;)

There are also concerts in the museum, so it's worth to cheque the agenda - the favourite word of Dutchmen ;)
The garden is so nice, calm and smelling that I'd like to stay here longer, to sit in the sunshine, but I wanna see another of the Canal Houses -

Museum Van Loon

It's great that the whole house is accessible to see, from the kitchen on the ground foor to the bedrooms on the second floor. And I like the house very much again, the furnishings, the architecture and the garden, hmm, if you told me to pick on something, I would - there's no balcony ;)

Dom wciąż należy do rodziny Van Loon. Jest wyposażony w oryginalne meble i obrazy. I tą sielankę zakłócają tylko współczesne obrazy dzieci, które nie podobają mi się nic a nic (wybacz mi, malarzu!).

The Van Loon family still owns the house. It's furnished with original furniture and paintings. And the whole idyll is disturbed only by the modern paintings of children, which I don't like at all (I'm sorry painter!).

Przed piątą chciałam zobaczyć jeszcze Hmm, ludzie pisali, że warto zobaczyć, ale ja tam nic specjalnie interesującego nie znalazłam. Sam budynek z zewnątrz mało ciekawy, w środku jedyne co, to witraże na klatce schodowej, a wdrapałam się po schodach na samą górę, bardzo logicznie, po kobiecemu zresztą, zjeżdżając windą w dół, choć zmęczona już wtedy byłam dość mocno. I być może owo zmęczenie nieco mi się na mózg rzuciło ;) Na górze też nic ciekawego nie było.
Na dole jakaś wystawa, ale nie zainteresowała mnie na tyle, żeby oglądać. Są też chyba jakieś rysunki ciekawostek w okolicy, ale też już nie mam siły się im przyglądać. A najbardziej w oczy rzuca się liczba 150 ułożone ze skrzynek po Heinekenie (rocznica tego wywodzącego się stąd browaru).

De Bazel

- the city's archive and now conference center.

Hmm, people say it's woth to see, but I haven't found anything special there. The building itself is not very nice (although they say it is), inside only stained-glass windows in the staircase are the thing that maybe one would like to see. I scramble up the staircase to the top floor, very logically, a woman way, going down with the lift. Well, I was tired quite much, so maybe it was the reason ;) On the top floor there's nothing interesting either.
Downstairs there's an exhibition, but it doesn't look too interesting, so I don't feel like seeing it. There are also some drawings of interesting places outside Amsterdam but I don't have enough power to see them. And the thing that stands out the most is the number 150 made of Heineken beer bottles cases (the anniversary of the brewery).

Stamtąd już blisko na kwiatowy targ. Chciałam kupić sobie puszkę z ciasteczkami. Zupełnie niespodziewanie w domu okazało się, że to tradycyjne stroopwafels, czyli wafelki przekładane syropem karmelowym, które też chciałam spróbować. Hmm, warto było, aczkolwiek smak nie był porywający. Może te świeże są lepsze. A może i z nutellą są lepsze? Nie wiem, mam nadzieję, że kiedyś jeszcze będzie okazja ich spróbować :)

It's close to the flower market from here. I wanna buy a can with cakes. At home it turnes out that inside there are traditional stroopwafels (surprise!) - waffles with a caramel-like syrup, which I also wanted to try. Hmm, it was worth it, although the taste was so so. Maybe the fresh ones are better. And maybe they're better with nutella? I don't know, I hope there will be a chance to try them again :)

Dalszy kierunek to Museumplein. Nie dałam już rady zdążyć wejść do bardzo, no ale nie wszystkiego się da, niestety w tak krótkim czasie.
Ale i tak chciałam zobaczyć sam budynek, bo widok na niego od strony zachodniej to obok skrzyżowania kanałów najczęściej pokazywany widok z Amsterdamu.
Sam budynek jest ogromny, ale bardzo ciekawy. Porobiłam zdjęcia, udało mi się złapać odbicie w kałuży. Kilka dni później sadzawka była już wypełniona wodą, na której pływały doniczki z tulipanami.
Posiedziałam trochę na ławce, ale nie za długo się dało, bo ławki metalowe, a gdy słonko się schowało za chmury, to zaczęło się robić zimno.

I regret it a lot,

but well, it's not possible to see everything in such a short time.
But I wanted to see the building itself anyway. The view over it from western side is beside the canal crossing the most often shown view from Amsterdam.
The building is really huge, but very interesting. I make a few photos, also with a reflection in a puddle. Well, a few days later the pool was filled with water already, with flowerpots full of tulips.
I sit on a bench some time, but it's not possible for a long time - the benches are made of metal, and they are cold, especially when the sun hides behind clouds.
